ABOUT ME & MY APPROACH
Hi, my name is Sophie, and I am a BABCP-accredited High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, with a background and registration as a mental health nurse. I have 10 years of experience working in the NHS.
I offer evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for a range of common mental health problems, including:
Low mood
Depression
Anxiety problems
Social anxiety
Panic
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Phobias
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Body Dysmorphic Disorder
Perfectionism
Low self-esteem
What is CBT?
What you THINK, and what you DO, influences how you FEEL.
It is an active, structured, time limited and present focused talking therapy.
Home practice or Intention in between session is required to move through sessions.
My approach is person-centred, compassionate, and evidence based. I use questionnaires as part of the treatment to help guide your journey.
